This new showroom for luxury class cars was created to compliment the contemporary image of the Infiniti. Special challenges were presented by the steep sloping site with a very narrow dimension along the street frontage. The solution was to construct a concrete platform on concrete piers to extend the building footprint over the sloped grade. The exposure of the concrete platform required that the floor include radiant heat installed over traffic bearing insulation. The unusual vaulted roof and the extensive use of clear and opaque glass walls creates an attractive environment for the changing auto displays. The playful forms catch and reflect light in all directions, varying the building’s appearance at different times of the day.
