The
founder of Automated Tracking Systems wanted a headquarters facility that would
convey an image of quality and stability. It was decided that the American Georgian
style would be most appropriate. Located in Hudson, Ohio, the building is in
perfect harmony with the local traditional style of the Western Reserve Academy
and other 19th century institutional
structures.
From details of Flemish bond brickwork to the five part building massing, the
architectural quality is first class. A richly detailed entrance portico sits
atop a broad stone staircase at the formal entrance. The rear facade continues
the formal symmetry and is planned to compliment future additional structures
around a campus quadrangle. The exterior design compliments the traditional
exterior with a curving center staircase and wood paneled walls.
