Working
with Sculptors Norbert and Vickie Koehn, Doty and Miller modernized an outdated
1950’s Chapel into a bright and peaceful space suitable for a variety of functions,
while retaining a prayerful atmosphere for the daily devotions of the Sisters
of St. Dominic. Several points of focus were employed leading visitors from
the new wood and glass entrance to the beautifully restored mural in the Eucharistic
Chapel. Included is a Holy Water Font sculpted from a one and a half ton quartz
boulder and a handcarved wooden altar. Floor level changes were removed providing
the sisters with a more easily accessible space.
