The Western Reserve Fire Station and Education Center will emerge at the former Fire Station 28 constructed in 1928. Located directly across from Jacobs Field at the foot of the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge, the station promises to become the nexus of firefighting history and fire safety education for Northeast Ohio.

The fire station includes two apparatus bays, an alarm office and dispatch center - all of the early 20th century vintage. The museum will be the only one of its kind with this alarm equipment feature in its original building.
