Doty and Miller has enjoyed
a continued relationship with Mayfield City Schools for more than 25 projects
since 1997. These projects have included roof replacement, electrical improvements,
a new soccer stadium, auditorium remodeling, flooring improvements, classroom
additions, and new school board offices. The most significant project was the
comprehensive facilities assessment report completed in 1999. This report involved
physical
inspection of over 725,000 square feet of school buildings dispersed over four
communities. The report documented the condition of all structures, systems,
finishes and grounds. Cited conditions were sorted into categories including
health and safety, codes and accessibility, energy savings, maintenance, and
aesthetics. Cost opinions were applied to each of the proposed improvements
and priorities were established. This document has become a blueprint for a
phased facilities improvements schedule.
