In July of 2004, Doty and Miller Architects had 28 new solar panels installed on their building. The 2 feet wide by 4 1/2 feet long panels are installed on an aluminum framing system that they designed. Along with the power the solar panels produce the awning shades the windows keeping the interior of the building cooler during the summer months.
Bill Doty and Green Energy Ohio held a two day weekend workshop attended by eighteen participant from a large varity of backgrounds. The workshop was put together to help teach the public about solar energy.
